Most doming will be done on a flexible substrate which allows for application on slightly curved surfaces.

Manufacturing Process
✭ Most doming will be done on a flat surface with the graphics added onto the substrate using printing. The below methods are for specialized cases where the label is made from metal.
✔️ Metal Stamping & Embossing - We can create multiple level embossing for domed badges with polyurethane resin poured over the design. Embossing can be done on flexible and rigid materials.
✔️ Electroforming - State of the art manufacturing method for creating intricate designs with precision. Urethane can be poured over the surface to create a dome.
✔️ Chemical Etching + Color Fill

Gloss - Matte - Brushed - Satin
✔️ Screen Printing - Used for domed tags that will be outdoors.
✔️ Digital Printing (CMYK)
✔️Lithographic Printing
Graphics and colors can also be added on metal substrates by injecting paint into etched recesses. Most domed decals will use one of the printing methods above.
Thickness
Thickness is fully custom and will be dependent on the materials, process and size of the labels. Exact thickness will be provided in a detailed quote.
Artwork/Engineering Drawings
Commonly known as vector or source files. In short, vector files allow us to turn your personalized metal badge design concepts into tangible products.
If you do not have artwork, don't worry. Our designers can help convert your design into production ready drawings. It is best if you can provide us with pictures, sketches and all other information of your design. We do the rest, free of charge to you.
Designing a domed decal from scratch does incur a fee and will be dependent on various factors.

The Doming Process
4-Step Process to Create Domed Emblems & Labels
- Design and Printing - Provide us with your high-resolution label designs and we print them onto suitable substrates.
- Clear Dome Application - Using advanced robotics we carefully apply our polyurethane resin over the printed areas to ensure even coverage and no bubbling.
- Curing & Hardening - Allow the adhesive and dome resin to fully cure through natural drying, heat curing, or UV light to achieve a durable, glossy finish.
- Quality Inspection - Trim excess urethane material, die cut domed decals to final shapes (or apply to sheet if requested), and conduct quality control inspections to ensure consistency and eliminate defects before packaging.
