Frequently Asked Questions
What are foil labels, and how do they enhance product packaging?
Foil labels apply a very thin layer of foil to your label's surface, typically in gold or silver, but can include other colors. They transform your product branding into an elegant work of art, difficult to replicate using other labeling techniques.
What's the difference between hot foil stamping and cold foil stamping?
Cold foiling utilizes UV-curable adhesives without dies or heat to transfer foil, allowing for faster production and more cost effective solution. Hot foiling uses heat and dies to transfer metallic foil onto the substrate. Due to the specialized dies required, there is an initial tooling fee for your first order, and labels typically have a slightly higher unit cost.
Foil stamping is also known by other names such as foil imprinting, leaf stamping, dry stamping, hot stamping and more.
Do you offer stamped foil as rolled labels?
Yes, your labels can be printed individually, on rolls or die cut. Die cutting does incur an additional fee.
Can you laminate labels to enhance durability?
We can laminate your custom metallic stickers to enhance their look and durability, offering a range of finishes to match the exact feel and style you're envisioning.
